Today is the anniversary of the march across the Edmond Pettis Bridge in Selma, AL. And unfortunately, the battle for equal rights and for everyone to vote goes on.
In my world, today I’m marking the 2-month mark of finding out that my cholesterol and sugar levels were out of control, and I began this leg of my journey towards health.
I’m currently 23 pounds down from that point, and I can hardly believe it! I’ve verified that success breeds success, too. This morning I went to the gym and did my workout. Then I decided I would go to a cafe (which is also a very good bakery) to work on a music project. I went in, looked at all the pastries and cookies, cakes and sundry gateway drugs and chose to get…a cappuccino.
I was damned happy with that cappuccino too! I spent an hour working on my project (writing in translations to a latin text I’ll be rehearsing tonight) and sipping mt cappuccino and now I’m home eating spicy lentil soup and the other half of a tuna salad wrap I bought yesterday.
Good on me!
I cannot wait until I can wear some of my smaller clothes, can’t WAIT!
see ya tomorrow….
