It’s Friday and I have just started listening to the podcast “We Are Losing It” and I love it! I so relate to these two women, many of the same struggles.
One thing one of the women mentioned was the fact that eating and food takes up so much head space when you’re overweight/obese. She (they are Justy and Steph but I am listening and can’t tell the difference!) talks about internal fighting with herself about eating something, anything.
Sounds like she’s been taking weight loss shots and it quiets the thinking about food. I wonder if that would help me.
On that subject, I’m doing well with the weight loss. There are days when I gain a little, usually after eating at a restaurant or having a beer or two. I really do mean a beer or two, I don’t drink more than that usually, if I do drink. I’ve now lost almost exactly 15 pounds since January 11. WOO!
Okay so back to the podcast. Justy & Steph point out that some people can truly eat anything and not gain weight. Why is that? And why do those people sometimes project moral superiority?
I had the experience last weekend of being looked up and down, and up and down again, by a thin family member. More than once. Nothing was said, like “you look beautiful” or “you look good” or “you look happy”. Nothing. This is the moral superiority I’m talking about.
That’s all for today. I do hope that if you are reading this right now, you’ll leave a comment 🙂
