I know, I know, he’s not exactly the most popular figure in sports these days, but I’m close to him in another way: I am just a couple pounds away from weighing what he weighs (he weighs 225, I’m at 226.8)!
I’ll take it. 🙂
This weekend we are headed to a wedding celebration…I’m going to have to eat out a lot! Lucky for me the bride is vegan and all the food at the dinner will be vegan. The caveat is eating a lot of bread, which I will not do. I’d rather save the calories and have a couple drinks while we’re dancing.
There will be people there I haven’t seen since I gained weight, but I think I’m about 20 pounds heavier than I was back then, so not such a shock I guess. You never know what people notice and what they don’t.
With exceptions…my MIL notices *everything* and is not hesitant to deliver pointed (though innocent-seeming) barbs. Just to give a picture: She’s 4’10” on a good day and weighs about 105 lbs. I am 5’7″ and weigh what I weigh. I tower over her always but though she be little, she be mighty (apologies to Shakespeare).
*later* We got here this evening, went to eat at a steakhouse where I ate salmon, and now my husband is sleeping and I am…not. 🙂
I hope I can remain strong in my eating plan this weekend. Somehow I have to remember what I want and that “just a bite” of this or “just a taste” of that isn’t going to work for me right now.
